AT THE WASH, I DESIGNED ALL ASPECTS FROM THE INTERIORS AND THE THEME TO THE FURNITURE. THE THEME IS A SOUTHWEST DESERT ROADSIDE MOTEL. TO BATTLE THE CRUEL WINTERS AND KEEP THE SUN INSIDE WE LINED ALL THE WINDOWS WITH WARM HUES, AND BUILT A HONEYMOON SUITE IN THE BACKROOM, FIT WITH MIRRORED CEILINGS. WE CONTINUED THE PLAYFULNESS IN EVERY KNOOK AND CRANNY, ONE OF THE BATHROOMS IS DESIGNED AS A DESERT STORM (OR WASH) WHILE THE OTHER IS A SUNTANNING BED, ANOTHER NOD TO THE GLOOMY SEATTLE WEATHER. EVERY INCH OF THE SPACE WAS INTENTIONAL, PLEASE TAKE A GLANCE AT THE VIDEO TO SEE ALL THE HIDDEN GEMS. THE OBJECTIVE WAS TO CREATE A PLAYFUL, COMFORTABLE, AND INVITING NEIGHBORHOOD BAR. THEY’VE BEEN STEADY AND GROWING SINCE OPENING AND THE DESIGN HAS BEEN WRITTEN UP IN THE SEATTLE TIMES, EATER & CAPITOL HILL TIMES.
